Many of my regular readers are looking for the perfect cabin on a lake. This is a tough find in Central Oregon because our lakes are on public land there are not many lakefront homes that come on the market. Those that do, are generally on USFS (United States Forest Service) leases.
Most of these leases run for 20 years and start over with each change of ownership, each new owner must qualify for the lease and pay the yearly lease fee. Each area of these leases have specific rules and regulations that the home owner must agree to.
Some of these leases do not allow for full time residence, nor any rental activity. Since you do not own the land under the dwelling most of these purchases are cash purchases. Some buyers will refinance another property and use the cash to purchase a lakefront property.
So, without further ado – there is a home on Crescent Lake currently available. It is 1075 square feet with a 2 bedroom 1 bath home and an additional bunk house with 2 beds in it. The lake is visiable from the deck although the home sits in the trees. This home is on a septic system and the water is pulled directly from the lake. The current listing price of this home is $660,000.
For additional details I have linked a flyer.
