La Pine Has First Time Home Buyers Choices

by Thesa Chambers, Principal Broker on September 21, 2007

la-pine-under-200k-sept-21.pdfThere are not many areas of Central Oregon that offers many choices to the first time home buyer.  La Pine is an easy commute for those working in Bend and with shopping available in La Pine it is a great choice place to start your real estate investing.

This last week I listed a great home on an acre.  The home is 1 year old, 4 bedroom, 2 bath and a family room – currently listed at $232,500 and the seller is willing to pay closing costs for the buyer or…..if you co not want or need this credit write the offer at a lower sales price.

I spoke with a couple lenders just yesterday and they confirmed there are still loans available that provide 100% financing.  These do require the seller to contribute in closing costs but the good news it can be done.

Lapine has 51 frame built homes under $200,000 on the market as of the time this was written. See the Report here la-pine-under-200k-sept-21.pdf.

Chris Tesch is a REALTOR® in Bryan-College Station Texas; I often read her blog and keep up with what Chris’ area has to offer for housing costs.  Recently Chris wrote about two areas that have choices under $100,000.  See what she has to say;

I am seeing more lower priced homes in my area lately as well. It’s nice to be able to have options for first time home buyers.
