La Pine may be slow in seeing spring arrive but the real estate market is showing some signs of improving. Although today we hear that Bend is the #2 most unemployed city (Bend for stats is all of Deschutes County) we are seeing homes sell. Many of the sales we have seen are bank owned homes listed at prices that the average seller cannot compete with.
Sellers I know this last year has been frustrating and that we are all working hard to find the buyer for your home. Knowing what is happening is half the battle, and so this post is for you.
La Pine Oregon currently has 27 homes under contract – in what us agents call pending. A pending sale means there is an accpeted offer and the buyer and seller are moving towards closing, sometimes these properties do not close and they can come back on the market.
There were 43 homes that sold since January 1, 2009. Again many of these homes are bank owned or priced well below what is considered market value.
